ARC(M) Inaugural Nurse Training

ARC(M) conducted its first Chronic Kidney Disease Workshop training for nurses on 9^th July 2017, at Subang Dialysis Centre.  Such trainings are required to enhance nurses knowledge, as well as earning CPD points, in order to maintain their practicing certificate. 

The topics covered in this training included:-

1. Anemia in Renal Disease (By Dr Prasad Menon)

2. Hemodialysis Adequacy (By Dr Prasad Menon)

3. Maintenance of Dialysis Machine (By Mr Kang Chin Hooi from B Braun)

4. Cold Chain of EPO (By Ms Sherly from Roche)

A total of 11 nurses attended the training, for which, they will earn 6 points. The nurses came from the following ARC(M)’s centres – Subang Dialysis, IMU Dialysis, IMU Education and Prodiso Dialysis.

We wish to thank Dr S Prasad Menon, Mr Kang Chin Hooi and Ms Sherly Chen Siet Fuem who have kindly conducted lessons on their rest day.

ARC(M) will continue holding such training courses, with the next course planned for November in Prodiso Dialysis Centre, Penang and December in Subang Dialysis Centre, Subang Jaya.
